Why Should I Choose A Virtual Assistant?
Two of the main reasons are money, and time.
People who use a virtual assistant save money! Because you are only paying for the time that we spend on a task for you as opposed to paying a full-time office assistant. Unlike an employee you pay regardless of the job they do, we will only ever bill you for time spent working on tasks (to the exact minute!). That means no money spent paying for someone to stand chatting with colleagues, taking breaks or always running late. Oh, and you also don’t need to worry about National Insurance payments, pensions, holiday cover, sickness payments, training, performance reviews, desk space, laptops, payroll… and the long list of other tasks and costs generated by hiring internally.
We can usually start immediately. If you were to recruit someone to work for you, you could have to wait 4-8 weeks for that person to be able to start. Not to mention if you had to involve recruitment agencies, and the costs involved in this soon add up! Do you want to spend your time training someone only to then realise that perhaps they weren’t a good fit for your business?
What are the benefits of using a virtual assistant with a team of VA’s?
There are many reasons it is a good idea to work with a Virtual Assistant who has a team, and here are the key points:
- Cover – they can provide all year round cover, as there are other VA’s to cover holiday and sickness when required.
- Knowledge – one member on the team might have a skillset that another may not, we can all help each other.
- Collaboration & Growth – you might find that as your business grows you need more support, and this support can be distributed across more than one VA.
Which Monthly Package Should I Choose?
I advise booking a free discovery call with myself to discuss your individual needs, but a good basis would be to think about the amount of working days there are in your usual calendar month, and ask yourself how many hours per day you think you would need support? I understand that it’s sometimes difficult to be sure from month to month, but we do offer a 10% rollover of hours for 1 month should you not use them as planned. Any extra time used outside of your retainer package will be billed at the ad-hoc rate of £40 per hour.
What if I require a visit in person?
Site visits can be arranged within reason, but we charge our hourly rate for the travel time used and £0.45p a mile. Receipts can be provided for this and will be billed as an additional cost at the end of the calendar month.
Do I need to book a discovery call?
I would always recommend us having a little chat about what it is that you want to achieve by hiring a VA. We want to help lighten the load, today and for many years to come. There is no obligation to work with us following the call, it’s simply a chat to find out more about you, your business and for you to understand what to expect from working with us.
How do you track your time?
We use a time tracking software called toggl, and you are able to request a breakdown of our time at the end of the month should you wish.
How do I cancel my contract with you?
We require 30 days notice before your next billing due date should you wish to change your retainer package amount or no longer require our services.
Do you have insurance?
Yes, I have professional indemnity insurance with policy bee as do all the team members.
How do I share confidential information with you?
I recommend using a piece of software called ‘LastPass‘ to share sensitive or confidential information with us. This company have invested millions in ensuring their software is 100% secure and encrypted. You retain complete control over access to your passwords and you can revoke access at any time and can update a password without needing to tell us.
